Operations Manager and Consultant

Scott Dansie is a highly experienced professional who served in various roles in Bay Area law enforcement for almost two decades prior to retiring because of a career ending on-duty injury. He began his career as a non-sworn custody officer and reserve police officer, before becoming a full-time sworn officer. Scott has worked in several capacities, including FTO, FTO program coordinator, range master and firearms instructor, professional standards and training, policy development, defensive tactics instructor, motor officer, sergeant, second in command, and watch commander.

Scott is currently working as Operations Manager, Consultant, lead trainer, Master Peer, and program coordinator for Public Safety Family Counseling Group, Inc. He is a certified trainer for multiple International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF) courses, including Assisting Individuals in Crisis, Group Crisis Intervention, GRIN, Peer Para-Counseling, Suicide Awareness, Building Skills of Crisis Intervention Teams, De-Escalation for the Front Line, Psychological Body Armor, and Resilient Leadership. Additionally, Scott has completed the POST Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. His extensive experience makes him a valuable asset to Public Safety Family Counseling Group, Inc. and the First Responder community.

Scott’s unique perspective on law enforcement culture comes from not only his own history, but also that of his family’s extensive history of service. Scott is the son, grandson, nephew, grandnephew, brother, brother-in-law, and spouse of law enforcement professionals. This familial experience has given him a deep understanding of the realities of law enforcement culture. This deep connection to law enforcement history and culture drives Scott’s passion for service to today’s law enforcement professionals. Scott sense of meaning and purpose motivates his belief that we should enhance the wellness and expertise of our public safety professionals throughout their careers and into retirement in order to best support the communities they are asked to serve.
