Michelle Davis, ACSW

Michelle is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with the Public Safety Family Counseling Group, Inc. under the supervision of Elisa Hughes (LMFT #84286). She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Montana. Michelle has a background in aviation, spending much of that time facilitating the training of Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) in one of the busiest en-route facilities in the nation. She has also participated in human factors research for ATC at the NASA Ames Research Center. With a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics, specializing in Aviation Safety, Michelle understands the impact mental wellness has on the successful execution of the mission and of day-to-day operations.

Michelle is working towards trauma certifications to better serve clients and agencies including EMDR, Brain Spotting, Assisting Individuals in Crisis, and Group Crisis Intervention.

Michelle uses a variety of strength-based approaches to leverage a clients inherent abilities to facilitate a return to doing what they love. As the wife, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, and (soon-to-be) mother of firefighters, Michelle understands the unique life of a first responder and their family.
